A sharp addition to your Shelby or Ford vehicle. Premium quality 2-1/8" diameter shift knob with Rally Stripes and your choice of shift pattern. Graphics are subsurface and will not wear off. Comprised of specially formulated high-impact polymer resin specifically designed to meet performance level torque and temperature requirements. These knobs have a 16mm x 1.50 Brass Master Insert, and come with a threaded Brass Adapter & Jam Nut in the size of your choice.Weight is 5 ounces. 2005 to 2014 factory Mustang shifters REQUIRE a Boot Retainer to complete the installation. A factory shifter with a "ball style" shift knob will require a Narrow boot retainer. A factory shifter with a "non-ball style" shift knob (black and gray thumb shaped) will require a Wide boot retainer. 2015 and newer factory Mustang shifters with a Reverse Lockout require 12mm x 1.25 threads that are recessed to accommodate the Reverse Lockout mechanism. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THREADED GEARSHIFT KNOBS
WARNING: DO NOT ALLOW SHIFT KNOB TO "BOTTOM OUT" ON SHIFTER SHAFT. THIS COULD CAUSE INTERNAL DAMAGE WHICH COULD CAUSE THE SHIFT KNOB TO RATTLE OR BREAK.
ALWAYS SECURE SHIFT KNOB USING A JAM NUT OR BOOT RETAINER.
Shift Knob Installation Instructions with Brass Adapter and Jam Nut
1. Determine correct Adapter and Jam Nut size.
2. Clean all threads prior to installation
CAUTION - DO NOT PUT ADAPTER DIRECTLY INTO SHIFT KNOB
3. Thread (silver) Jam Nut onto shifter until no more than 3/4" of threads are visible above Jam Nut.
4. Place flat washer on shifter above Jam Nut (for smaller shifter diameters only)
5. Thread (brass) Adapter onto shifter until it touches the Jam Nut (or flat washer)
6. Install Shift Knob onto Adapter until it becomes snug.
CAUTION - DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN
7. Turn knob counter-clockwise until graphics are in desired position
8. Turn Jam Nut counter-clockwise until it is tight against bottom of Adapter.
WARNING: DO NOT ALLOW SHIFT KNOB TO "BOTTOM OUT" ON SHIFTER SHAFT.
DAMAGE COULD RESULT WHICH IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY.

Shift Knob Adapter Installation Instructions with Mustang (2005-2014) Boot Retainer:
1. Determine correct Threaded Brass Adapter Insert and Retainer thread size.
2. Clean all threads prior to installation.
3. Thread Boot Retainer onto shifter leaving approximately 1/2” of threads visible above Boot Retainer.
4. Thread Brass Adapter Insert onto shifter until it touches the Boot Retainer.
5. Install Shift Knob onto Adapter until it becomes snug.
CAUTION - DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN. DAMAGE COULD RESULT WHICH WILL CAUSE THE SHIFT KNOB TO RATTLE OR BREAK.
6. Turn knob counter-clockwise until graphics are in desired position.
7. Turn Boot Retainer counter-clockwise until it is tight against bottom of Shift Knob.
8. Attach shifter boot to Boot Retainer.
DO NOT ALLOW SHIFT KNOB TO "BOTTOM OUT" ON SHIFTER SHAFT.

Shift Knob Installation Instructions with Jam Nut:
1. Determine correct Shift Knob and Jam Nut thread size.
2. Clean all threads prior to installation.
3. Thread Jam Nut onto shifter until at least 1/2" of threads are visible above Jam Nut.
4. Install Shift Knob onto shifter until it becomes snug.
CAUTION - DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN. DAMAGE COULD RESULT WHICH WILL CAUSE THE SHIFT KNOB TO RATTLE OR BREAK.
5. Turn knob counter-clockwise until graphics are in desired position.
6. Turn Jam Nut counter-clockwise until it is tight against bottom of shift knob.
DO NOT ALLOW SHIFT KNOB TO "BOTTOM OUT" ON SHIFTER SHAFT.

Shift Knob with Recessed Threads for Reverse Lock Out Installation Instructions:
1. Clean all threads prior to installation.
2. Apply a small amount of Loctite™ type adhesive to shifter threads. We recommend using a Loctite™ type adhesive that is NOT permanent so that the shift knob will not be damaged if future removal is necessary.
3. Install Shift Knob by threading clockwise onto shifter shaft.
CAUTION - DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN. DAMAGE COULD RESULT WHICH WILL CAUSE THE SHIFT KNOB TO RATTLE OR BREAK.
5. Turn knob counter-clockwise until graphics are in desired position and the Reverse Lockout mechanism can be fully engaged and is functional.
6. Allow appropriate time for Loctite™ type adhesive to secure shift knob before using.
DO NOT ALLOW SHIFT KNOB TO "BOTTOM OUT" ON SHIFTER SHAFT.
